If you never played it, you've atleast heard about it:

Bionic Commando was an old Capcom classic that came out for the first Nintendo Entertainment System. What made BC fun was that the game didn't include a "jump" button but rather, a grapple that allowed you to swing from almost anything. As a kid I remember only playing the game for a little while and then quitting because of how hard it was...as were so many other titles at the time.
Well, come tomorrow, Capcom is set to re-release Bionic Commando: Rearmed for Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network. This time, the 2d classic shooter comes with upgraded 3d visuals that looks absolutely stunning.

Not only has the whole game been remade using a new graphics engine, it is also set to include offline co-op. Having seen the game in motion has pretty much convinced me to download it tomorrow. For $10 you get a re-imagined classic that you can also enjoy with a buddy. Not only has the core gameplay been remade, but they've also included the top-down sections of the old shooter also:

This downloadable title is set to pave the way for the new Bionic Commando that is releasing early next year. Which will be fully 3d:

I'm still on the fence for this new game but I'm glad that the remake of the old one is getting high critical praises. If remakes of old classic games containing classic gameplay with upgraded visuals is becoming a trend, please remake Guerrilla War:

That game was fucking fun!
